STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Zine Dump is a new Toronto zine fair that aims to provide a venue for the open expression for independent publications, radical art and ideas.
The purpose of Zine Dump is to:
- present a venue to foster alternatives to the traditional and commercial press
- provide local and international zinesters with a forum in which they can inclusively contribute to public dialogue
- foster a sense of community by encouraging zinesters to self-publish and share their work
- create economic and trading opportunities for writers, artists and makers
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Zine Dump exhibitors are accountable to their readers and to each other.
Exhibitors are responsible for checking facts and sources before they are printed, if applicable. Exhibitors must take immediate steps to correct errors, misrepresentation and plagiarism.
Zine Dump reserves the right to deny any exhibitor a table, even after being accepted, on the grounds that they are attempting to traffic in inappropriate materials. Zine Dump has a zero tolerance policy against publications and exhibitors that actively or unintentionally promote racist, xenophonic, sexist, ableist, agist, homophobic, queerphobic or other hate speech. Any hate speech, as defined by the Zine Dump organizers, is strictly prohibited.
Zine Dump discourages the use of AI on the grounds that it is ethically and morally bankrupt and artistically uninteresting.
Zine Dump was founded by: Paterson Hodgson, Christopher Hubbarde, Eden Martin, Alexander Arvelo McQuaig, Jonathan Rotsztain, François Villeneuve, and Jenn Woodall with support from our founding sponsors The Beguiling and Netplaza Print Shop.
